THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Members of Thai Airways International’s (THAI) frequent flyer club, Royal Orchid Plus (ROP), now have two great offers on which they can use their mileage points.

The Buy One, Redeem One at 50 percent promotion enables ROP members to purchase a ticket to any destination on the THAI international network and redeem a THAI award ticket for an accompanying passenger at half the mileage points ordinarily required for the journey.

Tickets must be issued in Thailand and flights must originate in Bangkok prior to September 30.

The second promotional offer allows an ROP member to redeem one THAI award ticket for travel on any THAI domestic or international route and receive a complimentary second ticket for an accompanying guest.

Bookings for both promotions must be made by September 30 and all travel must be completed by October 31, 2009, and do not include surcharges or taxes.

There are a few other conditions attached to the promotional tickets, such as being for round trip travel only, and further details can be found on the THAI website.
