SAS Slashes Prices for Scandinavia to Bangkok Flights |

THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Effective immediately Swedish based Scandinavian Airline Systems (SAS) has slashed as much as 20 percent off the price of economy class tickets between Bangkok and Scandinavia.
The airline, which is the multi-national airline and flag carrier of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, has also rolled the cost of all taxes and surcharges into its quoted ticket prices.
Hakan Olsson, the Bangkok-based director and general manager for SAS in Southeast Asia said “our aim is to make it easier for people planning their travels and with our new pricing structure there will be no more plus, plus, plus added to the fares people are quoted.
Our motto has long been “service and simplicity” and providing our customers with an all-inclusive price is fulling filling that aim he said.
Under the new fare structure economy class round-trip fares from Bangkok to Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark start at Bt38,000 (about $US1,140), compared to the old price of Bt49,500 (about $1,470), while business class fares start at Bt106,400 (about $3,190).
All SAS flights from Bangkok depart at night and the airline also offers an Economy Extra class with extra space, an on-demand audio-visual screen, business class check-in and 150 percent EuroBonus points with prices starting at Bt65,100 (about $1,953).
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, SAS was established in 1946 and is one of the founding members of the Star Alliance. It operates a mixed fleet of jet and turbo-prop aircraft.
