THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Visitors to the former Thai capital of Ayuthaya now have another option for accommodation following the opening of the Kantary Hotel and Serviced Apartments – Ayutthaya.

Primarily aimed at visitors staying for extended periods, the 17-floor, 169-room and four penthouse hotel is the latest member of the Kantary Hotel and Serviced Apartment Group, which has been successfully running serviced apartments and hotels for more than three decades.

Rooms at the Kantary Hotel and Serviced Apartments – Ayutthaya, range in size from 41 to 110sq.m, and feature LCD TVs, tableware, kitchenware, and even a washing machine for self-service laundry.

Long-stay guests will appreciate features such as the latest in safety equipment, a fitness centre, sauna, swimming pool with Jacuzzi, executive lounge and a fully stocked reading room to name just some.

The hotel features an ultra-modern dinning area, the California Steak Restaurant, where prime cuts of beef from around the world are on offer, as well as a wide selection of seafood, international and Thai dishes.

Overnight standard rates range from Bt2,400 to Bt4,800 (about $US72 to $144), while monthly rentals range from Bt31,000 to Bt56,000 (about $US930 to $1,680).
