THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: InterContinental Hotels Group will open it’s first Thailand property in the seaside town of Hua Hin, just 2.5 hours from Bangkok, on December 1 this year.
The InterContinental Hua Hin Resort features 119 rooms, including 10 deluxe rooms with direct swimming pool access, and a presidential suite which can be used as a distinctive and private wedding chapel.
All rooms feature individual master bedrooms, separate living and dining areas, large screen LCD TVs, Bose DVD players, iPod docking stations, and personalized butler service.
Situated on prime beachfront land on Petchakasem Road, the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort is convenient to numerous historical attractions, golf courses, and the Maruekhathaiyawan Palace built by King Rama VI and still used today as a royal retreat by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The InterContinental Hua Hin Resort features an infinity-edge swimming pool, elegant fine-dining outlets, a spa offering a range of relaxation and therapeutic treatments, a gymnasium, and an oceanfront Beach Grill.
Parents will find the kids’ club, Planet Trekkers, for those between three and 12-years of age an added bonus, enabling them to spend some time alone while their children are entertained in a safe environment.
Room rates for the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort start from about $US154++ per night.
