Finnair - to be Seen More Often in Thailand

THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Finnair, Finland’s national flag carrier, has announced a number of flight changes to coincide with the switchover to its 2009 winter flight schedule effective from October 25.

Of particular note is the decision by the airline to add a second daily flight to Bangkok and to commence using its own Finnair liveried Airbus aircraft for its three flights per week to Phuket.

Petteri Kostermaa, vice president route strategy and traffic planning for Finnair, said adding the second daily flight to Bangkok, as well as utilising Finnair liveried aircraft on the Phuket flights, reflected the popularity of Thailand as a tourism destination among Finns.

The new winter 2009 flight schedule will operate until March 28, 2010

In 2006, Finnair carried approximately 8.8 million passengers on its network of 15 domestic and 55 international destinations.
