THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Visitors or residents who find the Chiang Mai heat can sometimes be a little overbearing can now find some relief with the opening of the Chiang Mai Zoo snow dome.
Housed inside the panda observatory, the new attraction offers people the chance to experience snow, in the middle of Southeast Asia.
For Bt150 (about $US4.40) for adults and Bt100 (about $US2.95) for children, groups of 50 at a time get to spend 20 minutes inside the dome, with the cost also including the provision of arctic weather jackets and shoes for visitors.
There are 12 sessions a day, with the first commencing at 9.45am and the last at 5.25pm.
