THAILAND TRAVEL NEWS: Visitors to the Nimman Life Fair between August 28 and 30 in Chiang Mai will have the opportunity to snap up an extra bonus thanks to a special offer being made by privately owned Bangkok Airways (BA).
Last month Thailand Travel News informed readers of the airlines Flyer Pass promotion Thai Airlines Slash Fares to Counter Falling Passenger Numbers providing discounts across the board of about 20 percent for all sectors the airline operates on, irrespective of when the flights were taken prior to July 31, 2010.
Now the airline has gone step better and is offering those attending the fair a further discount of 20 percent off the face value of the Flyer Pass packs.
The four categories of Flyer Pass – termed Fun, Fusion, Fancy and Freedom – consist of four flight sectors for designated destinations covered by each level, with pack prices starting from all inclusive airfares of Bt9,000 (about $US265) up to Bt29,000 (about $US853).
The passes cover all sectors flown by the airline including its medium range routes to Hiroshima and the Maldives.
In July the airlines senior sales director, Chonlada Chevathakorn, said, “in general Bangkok Airways does not give discounted fares to passengers during the high season for traveling, but we are doing so this year, to stimulate passenger numbers”.
The special offer for Nimman Life Fair attendees will especially appeal to travelers who fly frequently domestically or internally on routes serviced by BA, and may even be great reason for resident expatriates from other parts of Thailand to spend the weekend in Chiang Mai visiting the fair.
