The province of Lampang in the North of Thailand has been long renowned for its craftsmanship in ceramic arts and crafts and its reputed “Tra-Gai” or Rooster-painted ceramic bowls.
The 19th Lampang Ceramic Fair in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne will be held at Sports Complex Municipality 7, Lampang City Municipality, Lampang Province on 1st December – 17th December, 2008.
The Fair will feature a myriad of interesting activities and shows including Ceramic Exhibition, Fashion Show and Showcases of Ceramic Artworks by younger designers and ‘One Tambon One Product’ products showcasing the work of various craftspeople. Onstage there will be a singing contest and shows by a lineup of high profile Thai film stars, singers and musicians.
