Nakhon Phanom will celebrate its magnificent annual Illuminated Boat Procession or “Loi Reua Fai” between October 15 – October 23, 2010.

As the night falls, visitors will be amazed by the brightly illuminated boats set against the pitch black darkness of that is the Mekong River at night.

The “fire boats” will be various artistic shapes and styles aimed to reflect cultural beliefs, folk knowledge, and skills.

The event will also feature a colorful street parade, cultural performances, and various activities including long boat races, a food fair, and a “Northeastern dinner”.
