Miss Tiffany Universe has grown from a local contest and recently become an international phenomenon. Organized yearly in Pattaya, one of the world’s most infamous cities of hedonism, Miss Tiffany Universe Beauty Pageant is the nation’s biggest transvestite beauty contest. This year the final round of Miss Tiffany will be held at the Tiffany Show Theater, Pattaya II Road and will be broadcast on national television on 15th May from 8.30 pm – 00.30 am.

For over 35 years the Miss Tiffany Show has been accumulating its fame and given birth to the sensational Miss Tiffany Universe Beauty Pageant, that aims not only to boost the tourism in Pattaya but also to promote positive image of transgenders and transvestites (katoey), which are often portrayed negatively in the media. The contest has obtained international recognition after the winners of Miss Tiffany Universe joined in the ‘Miss Queen of the Universe’ contest in USA and proudly brought home the first prize.

The five-day contest of Miss Tiffany Universe 2009 will run just like other mainstream beauty pageants but you are certain to forget the fact that these beautiful ladies are actually transvestites. Then it will come down to a handful of finalists to compete in the evening of 15 May. Judges will select Miss Congeniality, Miss Best Costumes, Miss Photogenic and finally Miss Tiffany Universe 2009. Spectators will be entertained by many performances that will be put on between each round.
