The annual Hua Hin sailing regatta will take place over four days commencing on August 3 – 8, 2010. The strong seasonal winds from the annual monsoon promises lots of action and high speeds turns for ocean-going racers
Sailors will compete for the coveted Royal Vega Rudder trophy from His Majesty the King, the Super Mod National Championship trophy from HM the King, the OK Dinghy National Championship trophy from HM the Queen, and the Princess Cup for Optimist Championship honoring the late HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana.
Hua Hin is considered the traditional home for Thailand’s sailing community, due to HM the King’s keen interest in the sport and the Hua Hin Regatta is held each year in sight of the royal palace to honor him.
The event is best viewed from Hua Hin beach.
