The Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2009 is scheduled to kick-off this year’s annual event from 12 to 14 June 2009. The Festival boasts 2 tremendous main stages: one on the beach and another in the town of Prachuab Khiri Khan. There will be free entrance for all three-day performances, which run from 3.30 pm until mid-night.

The Hua Hin Jazz Festival promises to be one of the special highlights of the Thai calendar. The beach venue serves up a pleasing ambience as thousands of jazz lovers sit on canvas chairs and mats lying on the white sand beach, enjoying great selections of jazz music from the stage. The festival is expected to attract more than 100,000 people each night.

One of the stages is planned to be set in front of Sofitel Central Resort, while the other one will be at Phon Kingpetch Memorial Park. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the beachfront town, Prachuab Khiri Khan, Hua Hin Jazz Festival 2009 will reiterate the image of Hua Hin as a musical town made famous by its unique features and white sandy beaches, together with an exposition to honor His Majesty the King and his skill as a jazz musician.

Various jazz performers from Europe and Asia will join local Thai’s on stage at the Hua Hin Jazz Festival. Lists of Thai jazz performers include Charas Fieng-Arom, Wiyada Komarakul na Nakorn, Neung Chakawan, Methawat Sapsaenyakorn (Tong), Ko Mr. Saxman and Sobchai Ford Kraiyunsen, and many more.
