After overwhelming success and positive feedback from 2008, the 7th Bangkok International Film Festival is coming our way again.

This year, The 7th Bangkok International Film Festival 2009 (BKKIFF) is presented by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in association with the Federation of National Film Associations of Thailand (FNFAT). The festival will take place on 24th to 30th September 2009 at SF World Cinema, Central World and Paragon Cineplex, Siam Paragon in Bangkok.

Over 80 films from around the world, as selected by the Thai Film Director’s Association, will be featured in this vibrant festival under the theme of “Beauty Eternal”. The opening ceremony of the festival will be presented in the classical theme of Thai cultural heritage and the role of film in Thai culture. The Closing Ceremony and the Golden Kinnaree Awards will be held at the Chatruim Suite Hotel, located on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

Here is the brief schedule of events:

September 24, 2009 – Grand Opening Ceremony at 6 pm, Central World
September 25, 2009 – Grand Opening Ceremony at 6 pm, Siam Paragon
September 26, 2009 – Thai Night at 7 pm
September 28, 2009 – Director’s Night at 7 pm
September 29, 2009 – Hollywood Glamorous Winter Ball Night at 7 pm
September 30, 2009 – Closing Ceremony and the Golden Kinnaree Awards at 8 pm, Chatruim Suites Bangkok
