1st Pai International Film and Animation Festival 2008

Tourism Authority of Thailand of Mae Hong Son and Pai municipal district gladly welcome you to the “1st Pai International Film and Animation Festival 2008,” an open air cinema, from November 28 to December 7, 2008.

The event will take place along Pai River in Pai, Mae Hong Son Province where you can ease off your stress, lie down on the bank of the river, enjoy great films played on the big outdoor screen, listen to live music and let yourself soak in the romantic atmosphere of Pai.

The first Pai International Film and Animation Festival 2008 will feature films in a concept of “Pai, Love and Global Warming” with cooperation from some of Thailand’s most notable directors such as Pradya Pinkaew, Peed Tanit, Chaleum Wongpim. The festival will include films of glorification to His Majesty the King, short films, commercial movies, and Indy films.

Apart from a parade of films, visitors will also enjoy a variety of entertainment including, live unplugged concerts, hand-made art exhibitions, and street fair. Moreover, there is a short story workshop where you can discuss and consult with renowned novelists.

The first Pai International Film and Animation Festival 2008 aims to promote eco-tourism in the province of Mae Hong Son and the beautiful city of art, Pai.  By bringing together a community of film-lovers, the event hopes to encourage film makers and aspiring young artists to create high-quality works and to publicize Thai films to the world.
