It’s been a long time coming but finally Chiang Mai has a real dance club.
Set up by a small group of enthusiastic Chiang Mai DJs, Club Grooves on the corner of Chang Puak Rd and Chang Puak Soi 4 has first class mixing, great, non-commercial tunes and a great vibe.
Local DJ’s including DJ Superman, DJ Bastard, and DJ Sissy are belting out great mixes every night with tunes ranging from Deep, Tech, Soulful, and Funky, to Electro, House, Breakbeats, Trance, and Drum’n'bass.
The club is decorated with matte-black walls and ceiling, while huge mirrors along all the walls reflect the lights from the mirror balls and lasers. It’s nice and dark and there are comfy sofa’s as well as high tables and bar stools.
Great bar and wait staff and reasonable priced drinks combine with the first class mixing to make Club Grooves THE place to go to in Chiang Mai.
The mixing and tunes at Club Grooves are a pleasant change to the commercial playlists at other Chiang Mai clubs where commercial hip hop, R’n'B and rock rule.
