Getting Around Thailand

Getting Around Thailand – One of the challenges facing each visitor to Thailand is just how to find one’s way through the country using the many various forms of Thailand transportation.  Well getting around Thailand can certainly be just that, a challenge, and just about every single person that visits Thailand will have stories to share of their experiences in just getting from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. Thailand transportation offers taxis, motorcycles, planes, trains, subways, and light rail transit; including some of the most modern transportation systems in the world along with some of the most antiquated.  You will encounter the 3-wheeled tuk-tuks, there are seelaws which are the same as songtows, and you will still even see a few of the 3-wheeled rickshaw like vehicles, called Samlaws.  On the water there are water taxis, long-tail boats, speed boats, and every kind of boat in between.  The fun part is that it can be fairly common that a traveler will have a chance to use every single one of these modes of transport. Exciting? Yes, it can be and it is surely an adventure at times.  Please, if you have some interesting stories to share then Submit your articles and photos to our editors for consideration.  If you would like to research more about Getting Around Thailand or can help provide our visitors with some guidance then please Visit our forum.
