Thailand comprises 76 provinces and stretches 1,648 km from the Northern most point of Mai Sai to the Southern most point of Tanon Sukyang, and has a width of 780 km. With such a geographical mass, weather conditions can vary greatly from one region to another.

The country has a tropical climate with a rainy, warm, cloudy southwest monsoon from mid-May to September and a dry, cool Northeast monsoon from November to mid-March. The southern isthmus is almost always hot and humid.
