Thailand Ecotourism - Natural Thailand
Thailand Ecotourism/Natural Thailand – Despite increasing development in Thailand, the country still manages to maintain a resplendent natural beauty and Thailand ecotourism is thriving. Much of this is due to government efforts that were significantly prompted by His Royal Majesty, King Rama the IX. For example in 1989 by Royal Decree the National Parks Act of Thailand was amended to completely prohibit all forestry activities until such time as Thailand’s forests have recovered and can be sustainably managed.
Thailand now has 79 National Parks covering almost 8% of the total area of the country. Ecotourism is growing in popularity and rural populations are playing an expanding role in the protection of Thailand’s natural beauty. If you would like to write an article in the interest of protection of Thailand’s natural splendour or to promote Thailand ecotourism, we invite you to Submit your work to our editors for consideration.
